The 2010 Carbon Concepts TxR Frameset is truly one of the ultimate carbon framesets in the world!  The Carbon Concepts TxR frame utilizes high modulus full carbon monocoque construction using the most advanced technology available that does not utilize bladders. This allows the best combination of strength at key points and lightness. It also looks very nice.

A monocoque frame does not use lugs that inevitably weaken and lead to frame failure. Monocoque construction ensures maximum stability, maximum reaction to force and maximum rigidity compared to classic glued or taped carbon fiber frames.

Another innovation is the use of an oversize head tube. The head tube of the TxR has a larger base because its fork has a cone-shaped steering tube. It has the standard 1 1/8" diameter at the top and a larger  1 1/4" at the bottom. Having an oversize steering tube increases its stiffness and that benefits not only the steering accuracy but also the strength of the fork. The base of the steerer is the weakest part of the fork assembly, so reinforcing this section is of real benefit to the riders.
